Job Description

As a Campos Coffee Roaster, you’ll ensure that our coffee is roasted accurately and to schedule, to deliver consistent flavours and satisfy customer demands. This role is based at Campos HQ in Banksmeadow, where we roast our beans daily! You will be scheduled to work either a standard shift from Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, or a floater shift starting between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM and finishing between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, depending on operational requirements. Flexibility is essential, and occasional (paid) overtime may be offered.

In This Role, You’ll Have The Ability To

  • Roast coffee according to the required sensory profile.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure all roasts are ready in time.
  • Minimise wastage.
  • Follow Safety and Quality protocols.
  • Learn about coffees (origins, roast profiles, tastes) from our coffee experts and join regular cupping sessions.

Qualifications

As a Campos Roaster, you’ll seriously care about doing a great job. You’ll love contributing to the team and the company, and you’re passionate about providing outstanding customer service.

For this role as a Roaster, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • You are detail oriented.
  • You can focus well, and you do not get distracted during work.
  • You are open to doing repetitive work.
  • You love coffee and are excited to learn how to roast the Campos way.
  • You have basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and teams.
  • You are willing and physically fit enough to lift to 24 kg (we’ll teach you how).
  • You have valid AU working rights with unlimited working rights.
