As Kitchen Porter, key aspects of your role will include:

Behind a façade featuring a winding steel ribbon â reflecting the cityâs festival spirit â this 12-storey structure is the centerpiece of Edinburgh St James Quarter, incorporating retail, leisure and entertainment facilities along with residential apartments.
This W hotel helps redefine the cityâs hospitality landscape. Accordingly, it fuses the brandâs signature amenities with modern design and W Happenings, highlighting whatâs new in design, fashion, music and culture.
Built in 2023, this new W hotel accommodates guests across 244 stylish guestrooms, including 45 suites. While staying here, guests benefit from the brandâs signature Whatever / Whenever service philosophy.

About The Role

As Kitchen Porter, key aspects of your role will include:
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- A warm, people-oriented demeanour
- A team-first attitude
- Protect company assets
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
